We mitigate this proactively by employing random sampling of the consensus group for every 5 seconds. Additionaly we have 1/3 of nodes in each shard being reshuffled to other shards every epoch. Succssful attack probability is ~10^-18. This makes the security of each shard very robust, but we have added another mechanism called fisherman, through which with one honest node in each shard we can easily detect malicious actors. Overall the probability of a shard takeover attacks happening is ~10^-211.

 

I have not found any practical use of Elrond Network, so what effect does it have in attracting investors? @beniaminmincu

 

With regards to expansion , in the future, what do you think of Africa, the blockchain awareness here is large but most projects do not consider expanding to this area.It will be an advantage for Elrond, the question is, is Elrond willing to take this advantage?@beniaminmincu@danvoicu

 

Each shard will consist of 400-600 validators and have a separate chain, accounts and application state. Will the number of validators increase in the future? @beniaminmincu
