1️⃣ Bitcoin as a landline phone—it does one thing very well. ETC is like a smartphone—it can do everything Bitcoin can and much more. So ,Could you explain more about that ? @shinichiconan214

  14. ChrtiistihhanX
    yes, sure
As Satoshi’s wish, Bitcoin is peer to peer digital money. It’s safe, decentralized, immutable and censorship resistant.
ETC, as a smart cryptocurrency/money, it has all the same features above and can do everything Bitcoin can.
Plus, ETC is turing-complete. It allows for complex contracts that operate autonomously and cannot be modified or censored. Which means, ETC can deal with complex logics by smart contracts which Bitcoin can’t.
ETC is logically like Bitcoin and technically like ETH.
It’s proof of work, decentralized, immutable and deflation (as Bitcoin) and turning complete, operates smart contracts with EVM to deal with complexity (as ETH).
And after ETH 2.0 (ETH will turn to PoS known as Casper), ETC is the only blockchain that proof of work and turning complete.
    Done:m

Thank you. 2️⃣ When people often think of Ethereum Classic as the second version of Ethereum, does it lose the appeal of ETC? @minhquan178

  16. ChrtiistihhanX
In fact, on the contrary, Ethereum is the second version. Let’s look back to the year of 2016.
There was a DAO project. DAO - Decentralized Autonomous Organization was meant to operate like a venture capital fund for the crypto and decentralized space.
DAOs are entities that operate through smart contracts. Its financial transactions and rules are encoded on a blockchain, effectively removing the need for a central governing authority — hence the descriptors “decentralized” and “autonomous.”
However, on June 17, 2016, a hacker found a loophole in the coding that allowed him to drain funds from The DAO. That resulted in the transfer of 3.6 million Ether and the value at the time is around $50M.
At that time there are 2 options in the Ethereum community. One is to create a hard fork of the Ethereum blockchain to refund all the people lost their money from investing in the DAO. Another is to do nothing.
After a vote the Ethereum Foundation decided that too much money was involved, so they created a hard fork! After the decision, the Ethereum blockchain kept its name but was now operating on a hard fork.
While other people felt that by creating a hard fork of the original blockchain, it would go against the belief that blockchains should be decentralized and immutable. They argued that the hack was not because of the Ethereum blockchain, but because of poor security within the DAO project. Ultimately, “code is a law”, and it can’t be overruled! These ppl decided to remain on the original blockchain. And this was the birth of Ethereum Classic!
ETC lost the appeal since then because most of the funds and teams went away with Ethereum and ETC is lack of marketing, promotion and visibility.
However since last year, with the establishment of Ethereum Cooperative and ETC Labs, ETC’s ecosystem has been improved a lot. We have built communities all over the world. In Asia, we have 50k+ members in China, 30k+ members in Korea and 5k+ members in Japan. Vietnam’s crypto marketing is developing very fast and we also want to build ETC community in Vietnam so that Vietnamese can be updated the lates ETC news and know what our teams are doing.
    Done

  17. MintihThahhiVB
Wow, thanks for revealing the truth I think most people are still misunderstanding. :boom:

3️⃣ Since its formation after the first hard fork, ETC has experienced many difficult times. Trapped by investors as "scam", Unable to access new updates within the ETH chain, there are security issues. And most recently, earlier this year, the ETC network was hacked by 51%, and the losers were exchanges. So let giàng ơi ask after the Atlantis hard fork chain, will ETC improve security? and after this hard fork chain, what benefits will investors get ??? @luanpn0201

  18. ChrtiistihhanX
Yes! After Atlantis hard fork, ETC will improve its availability, functionality, performance and security dramatically and besides ETC will build great compatibility with Ethereum. You can read cooperations between ETC & ETH recently on Twitter very often and believe giàng ơi much more promising news will be announced soon!
For more details about Atlantis. Please refer the medium blog of ETC Labs Core https://medium.com/etclabscore

Thanks Sir. 4️⃣ Known during the Okex Cooperation Summit, OKEx is expected to create mutually beneficial partnerships with all stakeholders. So can ETC tell a little about the cooperation between ETC and OKEx in the near future? @Helloluan
